BENGALS INJURIES
The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Steelers earlier this season, but their season continues to go poorly. They lost heartbreakingly in Week 9. While they took the lead with less than a minute remaining, their defense couldn’t get a stop. The Chicago Bears beat them 47-42, and now, the Bengals are on to their bye week. That couldn’t come at a better time.
Bengals beat writer Jay Morrison shared on Twitter that the Bengals are dealing with a few injuries. Running back Samaje Perine has an ankle sprain that will keep him out for a few weeks, and rookie edge rusher Shemar Stewart has a knee injury that will be reevaluated after their bye week. Luckily, wide receiver Tee Higgins avoided a serious injury. We’ll see how the Bengals’ health looks in a week.
Zac says Tee Higgins was cleared and never entered concussion protocol.
High ankle sprain for Samaje Perine. Will be out a couple weeks.
They’ll assess Shemar Stewart (knee) after the bye.

BROWNS RELEASE FORMER STEELERS S
The Cleveland Browns are rebuilding once again. Although they made the playoffs a few years ago, they haven’t been able to maintain success. Now, they’re in the middle of another season where they look like one of the worst teams in the league.
Recently, the Browns released former Steelers safety Damontae Kazee. According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, it was an agreement between Kazee and the Browns, with the safety wanting more playing time. He was with the Steelers from 2022-2024, only joining the Browns this year. Now a free agent, Kazee will look for a new home.
The #Browns’ releasing S Damontae Kazee was an agreement between player and team, with Kazee forfeiting over $200k in guarantees for the chance to find playing time elsewhere, source says. BEARS PASS RUSHER TORE ACHILLES
The Steelers have played two NFC North teams this year, and they’re 1-1 in those games. They beat the Minnesota Vikings but lost to the Green Bay Packers. They still have the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears left on their schedule. The Steelers will face the Bears in a few weeks in Week 12. However, the Bears will be missing a key piece of their defense.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport announced on Twitter that Bears pass rusher Dayo Odeyingbo tore his Achilles and is out for the season. While he only has one sack this year, he’s started all eight games for the Bears. They’ll miss his presence.
