Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
2025 NFL schedule: Lions, Browns among seven teams with toughest 17-game slates – NFL.com
5) Philadelphia Eagles. Like the Lions, the Eagles have 11 games against 2024 playoff teams. Counting the season opener against the Cowboys, Philly also has at least five prime-time games, and potentially seven, depending on whether late-season games get flexed to night. It’ll be nice having a mini-bye to prepare for the Chiefs in Week 2 following the Week 1 Kickoff Game on Thursday, but facing the Rams (Week 3), Bucs (Week 4) and Broncos (Week 5) makes for a thorny opening five games. The Eagles only have one true West Coast trip, at the Chargers for Monday Night Football in Week 14. But they’ll have two short weeks in December, hosting the Raiders the next Sunday, followed by a Week 16 Saturday game at Washington. The Eagles then close the season with Week 17 at Buffalo and the finale at home against the Commanders. That’s a pretty challenging month. Tough early and tough late. The Eagles look as strong as any recent defending champ and will absolutely be in the mix to win Super Bowl LX, but they’re going to have to run a more challenging gauntlet than last year’s regular-season schedule to get back to the big game.
2025 NFL Regular Season Schedule Grid & Strength Of Schedule – Sharp Football Analysis
Based on projected win totals, the New York Giants have the hardest strength of schedule for the 2025 NFL season. NFL teams with the hardest schedules in 2025: 1) New York Giants, 2) Cleveland Browns, 3) Detroit Lions, 4) Philadelphia Eagles, 5) Minnesota Vikings.
Philadelphia Eagles schedule 2025: Takeaways, predictions – ESPN
Biggest takeaway: This is the perfect test for a team that dominated most of the playoffs last January and February, leading chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie to muse, “I’d almost like to say that, has there been a better NFL team than the 2024 Eagles?” at the league meetings this spring. The Eagles did lose some key players on the defensive side of the ball in particular, including edge rushers Brandon Graham and Josh Sweat and defensive backs C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Darius Slay Jr., but have kept most of the championship core intact. It’s hard enough to repeat in the division (an NFC East team hasn’t won back-to-back titles since 2004), let alone as Super Bowl champs. Philadelphia has the ability to hoist the Lombardi Trophy again this season but must overcome some history and a very tough slate to do it.
Spadaro: 10 things to know about the Eagles’ 2025 schedule – PE.com
2. Ending the season with a rugged slate is a test. Who knows how it is going to look by then, but as it appears now, the final three-game stretch of the regular season is going to be a doozy. At Washington on Saturday, December 20. At Buffalo and Josh Allen and a team that is a Super Bowl contender on Sunday, December 28, and then home with Washington in Week 18, game day and time to be determined. Nothing easy on paper there … 3. Weird NFC East scheduling … What is the angle here? The Eagles play the Giants in Week 6 on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium and then host the Giants two games later at Lincoln Financial Field. Same with the schedule against Washington at the end of the season, with only the Buffalo game separating the meetings. What’s up with that? The Eagles get Dallas in Week 1 and then travel to AT&T Stadium in Week 12 on Sunday, November 23, so at least there is some space between the games.
3 teams who were absolutely screwed by the NFL schedule, and 3 who weren’t – SB Nation
NOT SCREWED: Philadelphia Eagles. Not really sure how the Super Bowl champs pulled this one off. Philadelphia is one of the few teams not to have multiple divisional games to kick off the season. They face Dallas in the season opener, then don’t need to worry about the NFC East until Week 6 against the Giants. This will allow the Eagles to get into the groove of the season without too much to worry about when it comes to shock games. Outside of that Philadelphia doesn’t need to worry about a ton of long travel, they get their toughest opponents at home, and seem set up perfectly to be able to make another playoff run.
Eagles win-loss record predictions for the 2025 schedule – BGN
Now that the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2025 schedule is officially here, it’s the perfect time to predict the outcome of every single game. Some may suggest this is a useless activity. To that I say: lighten up, Francis. We’re just trying to have some fun. Also, this projection is bound to be 100% accurate, so it’s actually pretty useful. This time last year, I had the 2024 Eagles finishing with a 13-4 regular season record. I was somehow a little too low on a team that ultimately finished 14-3 and won Super Bowl LIX. Let’s take a look at how things might shake out!
Game-by-game Eagles 2025 win-loss predictions – PhillyVoice
NFC Championship Game at Lions: The Eagles have the better roster, but the fatigue of playing 20+ games in two consecutive seasons catches up with them, and the Lions are too much for the Eagles in a loud Ford Field in Detroit. Eagles fans learn all offseason how annoying Lions fans are, and some new Philadelphia villains on the field are born. Loss. 14-6.
Eagles 2025 schedule and game-by-game predictions: How will Jalen Hurts & Co. defend the Super Bowl? – PHLY
Week 18: Eagles vs. Commanders | TBD. There’s a chance Tanner McKee might be starting this game if the Eagles don’t have anything to play for in the season finale. My guess is they need to win this game for seeding — either the division or a superior seed. This pushes them to 12 wins, but make it 11-5 if it’s the reserves. Win (12-5)
2025 Schedule – Iggles Blitz
The Eagles lost a couple of games last year partly due to injuries. They had some wins that were easier than expected due to opponents injuries. Games that look tough now might not turn out that way. I’d say the opposite could be true, but most of the games look tough. This feels like a 12-5 season. That could be good enough to win the division. Washington has a challenging schedule of their own. I don’t see Dallas winning the division. The Giants have a brutal schedule and aren’t likely to do much this season. If there is a theme for the season it feels like it would be revenge. As in a lot of Eagles opponents will be looking for revenge.
Roob’s annual annotated week-by-week look at the Eagles’ 2025 schedule – NBCSP
For first time in 55 years, the Eagles will open a season at home against the Cowboys. In 1970, the Eagles lost 17-7 to the Roger Staubach, Tom Landry and Cowboys at Franklin Field. These two rivals haven’t opened a season in Philadelphia since. But that ends this year in the traditional Thursday night Super Bowl season opener. The Eagles and Cowboys opened in Dallas in 1972 and 1976 – the Cowboys winning by 22 and 20 points – and the Eagles’ only opening-day win ever over the Cowboys was the Pickle Juice game in 2000, the 41-14 at Texas Stadium, the hottest game in NFL history at 109 degrees and a real changing of the guard as the Eagles finally served notice to the NFL that they were a force to be reckoned with. Before that day, the Cowboys were the class of the division. The Eagles are 5-1 in their last six home games against the Cowboys, and a win in the opener would give them their first three-game winning streak over Dallas since 2003 and 2004. Overall, the Eagles are 57-71 vs. the Cowboys in a series that goes back to 1960. This will be Eagles’ eighth prime-time opener and fifth since 2013. This is the 18th time in the last 19 years the Eagles and Cowboys will meet at least once in prime time.
Week 16 schedule contains odd glitch for the Saturday games – PFT
Earlier this week, Fox announced that it will televise a Week 16 Saturday doubleheader featuring the Packers at the Bears and the Eagles at the Commanders. The official schedule contains an odd glitch regarding those games. The NFL.com version of the 2025 schedule currently shows that those games will happen on Friday, December 19. […] Again, there are other indications that the games are indeed set for Saturday, December 20. But if the use of “Friday, December 19” on the main NFL.com schedule is a typo, it’s a bizarre one. It wasn’t the result of a misplaced finger; someone specifically picked Friday, December 19 as the date for those two games.
What are the odds? The Washington Commanders open the season as big home favorites – Hogs Haven
Opening odds for the Commanders have them as 7-point favorites against the Giants at home, and the O/U opens at 46.5. Washington was 12-5 last season and played in the NFC Championship Game while the Giants were the worst team in the division last year.
Cowboys vs Eagles Week 1: Dallas a 6.5-point underdog on the road – Blogging The Boys
The Dallas Cowboys have had a solid offseason. They approached free agency with a little more urgency than before and signed a higher number of players than usual, although most were bargain-bin purchases. They stuck to their board in the draft and came away with quality players, a draft class that has been praised by the media. They also dipped into the trade pool, most notably acquiring George Pickens.
4 takeaways from the New York Giants’ 2025 schedule – Big Blue View
The New York Giants’ 2025 schedule is now known. We don’t know what the ultimate results of that schedule will be. We don’t know how many games the Giants will win, nor which games the Giants will win. As we sit here now in May, the schedule does look daunting. The Giants have two games against the two teams to face off in the NFC Championship in the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders, as well as the AFC Champions in the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite finishing with a 3-14 record and last in the NFC East, the Giants have 10 games against teams who won 10 or more games last year. They also have teams who were expected to be good but fell off badly due to injury in the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. The Giants are unlikely to be favored in any game this year, at least not before the season starts. But there’s plenty of time to worry about all that between now and September.
